Dr. Pal is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India in 2012 and completed his postdoctoral research in Cancer Biology and Therapeutics at Mayo Clinic in 2018. His research interests primarily focus on the development of various therapeutic agents such as small molecule inhibitors, therapeutic peptides, drug delivery systems including nanomaterials and liposomes and their preclinical evaluation in animal models of cancer. Additionally, he is also interested in using these agents to understand the intricacies of various signaling pathways implicated in cancer and those involved in drug resistance in particular. As an aspiring early career investigator, he intends to implement his multidisciplinary knowledge in chemistry, nanotechnology, drug delivery systems, and cancer biology for the eradication of cancer especially kidney cancer.
